Where do we get our values? Todays used equipment market is worldwide. The internet brings buyers and sellers together like never before in history. However, most equipment sales remain private and negotiated.  It is virtually impossible to know all of the details in private negotiated equipment sales. Dealers continue to make “deals”.  We value our relationships with equipment dealers.
Although auctions only account for a small percentage of equipment sales the results are on line usually the same day they occur. We consider the equipment sales results of absolute unreserved public auctions by auctioneers who strictly follow those rules a major factor in establishing our opinion of orderly liquidation values. We also value our close relationships in the equipment auction industry.

Since the majority of machinery and equipment appraisal work involves the utilization of the market approach to value we use legitimate auction results in todays worldwide market as a very important guideline in establishing comparable values in our appraisals!  Legitmate worldwide auction results, readily obtainable, are possibly the best reflection of equipment values in the industry today.
